Awesome Possum Theatre Company

About Us

The Awesome Possum Theatre Company is a new theatre company created to help young people discover theatre and experience the performing arts. Specially-crafted programs encourage children ages 6 to 18 to actively participate in all aspects of the theater from the technical, such as writing, design and show management, to performing. Each session ends with a live performance in which students are able to showcase their newly crafted skills and abilities. Since performances are designed to provide class participants with experience in front of an audience, they are free and open to the public.

The instructors, Colleen Williams and Erin Dolan have combined theatre experience of over 20 years. Prior to forming the Awesome Possum Theatre Company, the instructors worked youth theatre programs such as The Children’s Theatre at TrueNorth Cultural Arts and The Young Actors Conservatory in Houston.

Additional Services

In addition to children’s classes, Awesome Possum Theatre Company instructors also offer a variety of workshops and private lessons, as well as touring programs for area schools. Dates and times can be arranged by contacting the instructors directly. Students enrolled in workshops and private lessons will also have an opportunity to perform with the company.
